On Sunday, April 27, 2025, some of Los Angeles’ most celebrated chefs will gather at Vibiana for an unforgettable evening of food and philanthropy. Hosted by Lupus LA, Cuisine for a Cause brings together seven standout chefs from iconic local restaurants to raise funds and awareness for lupus research and support services.
The culinary lineup is as impressive as the cause itself. Neal Fraser of Redbird and Vibiana will showcase his signature modern American style, marrying technique with seasonal California produce in the very venue he helped bring to life. Kevin Meehan of Kōast brings a Mediterranean perspective rooted in coastal ingredients and a delicate, ingredient-first approach. Plant-based pioneer Tal Ronnen of Crossroads returns with the kind of deeply satisfying vegan fare that has earned him a devoted following among both vegans and omnivores.
Chef Antonia Lofaso, whose restaurants DAMA and Scopa have become LA institutions, offers a globally inspired mix of comfort and creativity. Representing the heart of Oaxacan cuisine, Bricia Lopez of Guelaguetza will share the rich, layered flavors that have made her family’s restaurant a landmark in Los Angeles dining. And rounding out the roster are Caroline Styne and Suzanne Goin of a.o.c., whose refined yet rustic small plates have defined seasonal dining in LA for over two decades.
The evening will feature five food stations throughout Vibiana’s courtyard, passed plates during the reception, open bars, and a plated dessert served during the formal program inside the venue.
In addition to the culinary experience, the event will honor Michael & Jay Ireland, Cedric the Entertainer, and Wesley Tyra Mizutani, MD, for their commitment to community and advocacy.
General admission dinner tickets are $600 and include seating at an assorted table during the evening program. Additional packages include a Bronze Package ($2,500) with four tickets and a digital tribute journal ad, and a Gold Table ($10,000) for 10 guests with a private table and digital tribute placement. Digital journal ads may also be purchased individually for $1,000. Submissions are due by April 11, 2025.
