Milan Design Week 2022 is back. The event that fuses creativity and design will arrive in the Milanese capital, from 6 - 12 June. And even If the Salone del Mobile takes place at the Rho exhibition centre from 7 June, the Fuorisalone events return throughout the city, animating the various design districts for a whole week.

"Anthropocena. Eating is a bit digital": at Desco, a sensory journey
Desco, the restaurant found in the centre of via Bassano Porrone 8, a few steps from the Duomo, will host the 'NABA Antropocena project. Eating is a bit digital', a reflection of the real world vs the virtual world.
On 7 June, a tasting opening open to the public (from 7 pm to 10 pm): a sensory journey on the theme of food and digital catering, throughout different historical periods, from prehistory to the future, in which taste and sight will interact with technology.
From 7 to 12 June, the project will be open to visitors from 10 am to 8pm.
In the dream world of Nathalie Lété: an installation to dream
For the launch of the new limited edition of the Italian sweet, signed by Pastiglie Leone, created in collaboration with the Parisian artist Nathalie Lété, the Bottega Leone shop in Corso Magenta 96 will transform into a fairy-tale space with nature and colours enveloping the location, creating a unique and enchanting atmosphere.
Open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10.30 to 14.00 and from 15.00 to 19.30.
Hybrid Restaurant, fine-dining dinners at Officina Ventura 14
Paco Zanaboni and Elena Minari (creators of De Smart Kitchen in Piacenza, a hub that encompasses everything revolving around the world of cooking, beginning with amateur courses) will animate the Hybrid Restaurant, a fascinating exhibition and space for events and performances.
Events will be held at OfficinaVentura14, from 6 to 12 June, where the 2022 edition of Hotel Regeneration will be staged.
Alongside the gastronomic part, there will also be mixology, curated by the Alexandrian bartender Luigi Barberis.

Among the unmissable events of Milan Design Week 2022 is the exhibition that will be set up in the spaces of Vasiliki Kouzina, an address dedicated to contemporary Greek cuisine. Indeed, on the occasion of the Fuorisalone, the Chronos-themed exhibition will be inaugurated here. Time, therefore, understood as the evolution and flow of events: a focus that is linked to this year's theme of the Salone del Mobile, 'Designing for our tomorrow'.
In the Tortona area, the food truck by Cocciuto
With its pizzas and menus known around the world, Cocciuto is a reference point in the world of Milanese catering. In the restaurant, in via Bergognone, in the heart of the design district par excellence, a pop-up food truck will serve a finger food and beer menu.

Vegan street food in the 'Chef in Shirt Food Court'
Vegan street food will be the protagonist in via Valenza 2, at the Ridein Milan. Planted's food truck will be parked here, in the 'Chef in Shirt Food Court', which will tempt you with buns, kebabs, pita and vegetable skewers for aperitifs, lunches and dinners in the name of sustainability.
The food truck, at the first Italian stop, will host Irene Volpe, Masterchef Italia finalist and expert in vegetarian cuisine, on Thursday 9 June at 6.30 pm.
Wow effect, Diego Cusano's first fantasy experience
From 6 - 12 June, at the Bistrot del Mudec, in via Tortona 56, the first fantasy experience of Diego Cusano, the famous Italian food artist who has bewitched Europe (with more than 300,000 Instagram followers) is on stage. Organized by Capital Innova, it's called 'Effetto Wow' and features 26 works that have food as their fil rouge: from the sponge used in the kitchen that becomes a football field, to the hands that transform food.
The event at the Bistrot del Mudec is the summary of a ten-year activity, with adult illustrations on a graphic and conceptual level.
Ice creams inspired by design icons: the limited edition IC.ON by Gusto 17
The Milanese ice cream parlor Gusto 17 (awarded by the Gelaterie Guide of Gambero Rosso 2022 and included by Forbes Italia among the 100 Excellences of Made in Italy) lets itself be inspired by the creativity and lines of some of the most fascinating and famous furnishings in the history of design. Here you'll find the limited edition IC.ON: four ice cream bars, handcrafted with the excellence of the territory, proposed in different flavors and chocolate coatings.
#Sexualizeherbs: taste meets design from Immorale Osè
The meeting between two designers, Lorenzo Barbasetti di Prun (Prometheus_food lab) and Fabio Tallo (sound designer and musician), and the chef Luca Zampa, from 7 - 12 June 2022, during Milan Design Week, will produce several interludes during the dinners proposed at the Immorale Osé Restaurant.
Food art performances contaminated by food design, sound design and interaction with artist perfumes will characterise the evenings, alongside four hands dinners.
The Food Courts of Identità Golose at the Salone del Mobile 2022
Not outside, but inside the Salone. Yes, during the design week, the Food Courts of Identità Golose return to the exhibition spaces of the Salone del Mobile.Milano 2022: four gastronomic areas dedicated to signature cuisine within as many pavilions, each of which will feature a group of chefs .
In particular, a special food court will be located inside the 'Sustainability Pavilion' designed by architect Mario Cucinella.
Among the chefs who will animate the food court of the Sustainability Pavilion, Gianni Tarabini, chef of La Présef in Mantello in the province of Sondrio (who this year also won the Michelin Green Star); Federico Malinverno and Vittorio Leani, chefs of Caffè La Crepa in Isola Dovarese (Cremona), with a Green Star to their credit and a cuisine with a strong identity; and Domingo Schingaro, chef of the I due Camini restaurant in Borgo Egnazia, one Michelin star, which stands out for its marked orientation towards vegetable gastronomy. The sustainable proposals will also be an opportunity to fully understand a new way of conceiving cooking by minimising waste, by carefully choosing the ingredients, from a more ethical and sustainable perspective.
Pavilions 2, 8 and 14, on the other hand, will offer visitors a gastronomic itinerary to discover the creations of some of the greatest Italian chefs and artisans: Carlo Cracco with Marco Pedron, pastry chef at Cracco in the Galleria; Cristina Bowerman, present with her format designed for delivery in Rome and Milan, Bowie by Cristina Bowerman; Andrea Ribaldone and Edoardo Traverso, respectively coordinator of the kitchens and resident chef of Identità Golose Milano;Giovanni Ricciardella, young and talented chef from Cascina Vittoria trained alongside Antonino Cannavacciuolo, Davide Oldani and Iginio Massari; Viviana Varese, chef patron of VIVA, a starred restaurant within Eataly Smeraldo in Milan; Eugenio Boer, chef of Bu:r; and Federico Sgorbini,resident chef of the Lino restaurant in Pavia.
