Let's take a look at how to cook rice in the Instant Pot...
How To Cook Rice in the Instant Pot
Our four-minute recipe calls for basmati rice, which yields a gorgeous long grain rice that doesn't stick together. Here is what you will need for serving 4 to 6 people:
2 cups of basmati rice
1 1/2 cups of water
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 teaspoon salt
Place the rice in a mixing bowl and rinse well under running water. Rinse until the water runs clear. Fill the bowl with water and allow the rice to soak for 30 minutes while you prepare other components of your meal.
After the 30 minutes, strain the rice and place in the Instant Pot along with the rest of the ingredients. Stir to mix. Place the lid on and close it (ensuring the pressure valve is in the sealing position). Press the "manual" button and select 4 minutes.
Once the time has elapsed, allow manual steam release for 10 minutes. Release any remaining pressure. Fluff the rice and enjoy!
