With the world on lockdown and people taking refuge in their kitchens to cook, chefs all over the world are stepping up with recipes and tips for those not able to leave the house.
Mark Moriarty is chef at two-Michelin star restaurant The Greenhouse in Ireland under chef Mickael Viljanen and a former winner of the S.Pellegrino Young Chef competition, is putting together six recipes for people to try while on lockdown.
"I've produced a series of six recipes, inspired by restaurant techniques but designed to be recreated at home,” says Moriarty. “I'm releasing them over the next six weeks through my Instagram, website and YouTube.”
“With the restaurant and many businesses closed, our usual customers and the public alike are taking to the internet to fuel their appetite for good food. This is just a response to that, and I'm not the only one. It gives us a real sense of how central and comforting food is, even in times of crisis. Who knows, if and when the hospitality industry kick-starts again, this move to online learning could be a whole new opportunity for us as chefs"
