Never one to miss a trick Facebook is making food ordering easier than ever, by now allowing users to order food without having to leave the app.
As Tech Crunch reports, the social media giant has added a tool to businesses’ Facebook pages so that users can simply start their order in-app at the touch of a button. The service launched today (19 October) in the US, via Delivery.com and Slice, though it surely can’t be long before this goes worldwide?
In-app food ordering is just one of a glut of new features designed to make Facebook more of a marketplace. You can also now book event tickets through Ticketmaster and Eventbrite with similar ease, get quotes for professional services, again without having to leave the app, plus there is also a new a recommendations option, which when you turn on sends a request out to your friends linked to your status, e.g. for restaurants or attractions in the local area.
Essentially, Facebook don’t ever want you to leave the app. Discover more about these new features in the video below.
