Sampogna, co-owner and Executive Chef at Frevo, brings a wealth of international experience and a passion for artistic presentation to the restaurant. Originally from Brazil, Sampogna worked in Paris under some of France's most revered chefs, including Guy Savoy and Alain Ducasse. In 2016, he moved to the US, working first as Executive Chef at Jema in Long Island before co-founding Frevo in 2019. In 2023, he was named a James Beard Award semifinalist for Best Chef: New York State. Sampogna’s culinary style is characterized by a dedication to quality, precision, and seasonal ingredients, which he uses to craft vibrant, visually striking dishes.
