Tofu Burger with Hummus

An easy and tasty vegetarian recipe for a tofu burger, served with salad leaves, tomatoes and chickpea hummus sauce: a vegetarian burger option you won't miss.

Onion

Parsley
1 bunch
Tofu
300 g
Soy sauce
2 tbsp
Eggs
1
Sesame
2 tbsp seeds
Breadcrumbs
2 tbsp
Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp, greated
Salt
Pepper
Burger buns
8
Salad
1 handful, mixed leaves
White wine vinegar
2 tbsp
Mustard
1/2 tsp
Olives
1 tbsp
Hummus
50 g
Walnut oil
1 tbsp

Preparation

Peel and finely chop the onion.

Wash and finely chop the parsley.

Mash the tofu with a fork and mix with the onion, parsley, soy sauce, egg, sesame seeds, breadcrumbs and cheese.

Knead with your hands and season with pepper.

Form the mixture into 8 flat burgers.

Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the tofu burgers for 3 minutes each side.

Slice the tomatoes.

Split the buns and cover the bottom halves with salad leaves and tomato slices.

Make a vinaigrette from the vinegar, mustard, a little salt, pepper, olive- and walnut oil and sprinkle over the salad.

Then put a tofu burger and 1 tsp hummus on each bun.

Top with the other halves of the buns and serve immediately.
