Heston Blumenthal has joined the star-studded line up for Singapore Formula 1, and will be cooking for the first time in Singapore during the three-day race extravaganza held between 20-22 September.
The three-Michelin starred chef of The Fat Duck will make his Singapore culinary debut at The Hind’s Head by Heston Blumenthal set-up, as part of the gastronomic offering by the Singapore GP. Here he will be serving up his signature dishes from his one Michelin-starred gastropub The Hind’s Head, as well as historical British recipes such as coronation chicken and scotch egg.
Blumenthal visited Singapore ahead of the event to try some of the local specialties such as laksa and durian mooncake, the latter which, despite its 'cheesy' smell and 'garlic' notes he is too polite to refuse when offered to taste by the CNA reporter
Singaporeans have much reason to get excited for this year’s F1, not just for the fast cars, but for the food - chef Nobu Matsuhisa of the eponymous Nobu restaurants, as well as Aussie chef Neil Perryof Rockpool will have their own spaces by the race track. Cheryl Koh, of two Michelin-starred LesAmis will be providing desserts and pastries at Tarte by Cheryl Goh.
