What's cool about this infographic is that it distinguishes the sparkling wines made with the traditional 'Champagne' method (in which the wines are fermented in the bottle) from those produced using the Charmat method (in which they are mass fermented in metal vats).
Believe it or not, the taste can differ and the infographic points out which foods are best which each type of bubbly. For instance, sparkling wines are nice for aperitifs or a salad course but classic Champagne is the champion when it comes to the best pairing with seafood dishes.
