Moscow's Gastronomic Festival 2012
The 8th edition of the Moscow Gastronomic Festival features some of the most dynamic local and international talent in fine dining
For the next month, Moscow is the place to be when it comes to dining. The city is celebrating the 8th edition of the Moscow Gastronomic Festival, which will run until November 12th.
The event, sponsored by S.Pellegrino, is geared at promoting fine dining at an affordable price: visitors can enjoy top quality food for less at 50 different participating restaurants. After their meal, diners will vote on which restaurant was their favorite: the best restaurants will be awarded during the closing event, called Dessert Ball, which will be held November 12th.
An exciting event to keep your eye out for is the Golden Triangle: a dinner that will be prepared by three talented chefs from varied backgrounds. Held on October 31st, each chef will prepare two dishes. This year participating chefs are Dimitry Shurhsakov, from Chaika restaurant which ranks 99th in the World's 50 Best Restaurants list; Marc Fosh, a British chef famous in Spain; and Luigi Taglienti, young and talented chef at Trussardi alla Scala restaurant in Milan, successor to Andrea Berton.
Dessert will be prepared by the Golden Triangle host chef Elmar Basziszta of Baltschug Kempinski, a five-star luxury hotel with great views of the Kremlin.
