What’s the best way to enjoy the products from Franciacorta? Here are some suggestions for perfect pairings – with a dish for each spumante.
The Bellavista Franciacorta Cuvée brut sans année (with no harvest year) has a wide bouquet, rich with white flowers and ripe fruit (decan pears), chlorophyll and vanilla. Its tastiness pairs perfectly with strong dishes like risotto or pappardelle pasta with pigeon. To be served at 6°C.
The Bellavista Franciacorta Vittorio Moretti 2004 (extra brut), is instead characterized by the scent of mature white fruit, peaches, honey and citrus flowers. The fresh and yet intense taste leaves a light flavour of red berries and the savouriness of the sea: hence, it’s perfect with raw fish, seafood tartare and oysters. To be served at 6°C.
We close with the Bellavista Curtefranca Vigna Convento Ss.Annunciata, a still wine made with grapes from Monte Orfano, on the Southwestern border of Franciacorta, in Lombardy near Brescia, in a vineyard entirely planted with Chardonnay, extending for almost 5.5 hectares. The bouquet of ripe fruit – apricots and pineapples, as well as that of vanilla – together with its tastiness and long persistence, makes it perfect with white meats, duck, lamb and guinea fowl. To be served at 14°C.
