This must have been the weirdest week for ice cream flavors. First we got word that a pair of brothers in Croatia had invented Facebook ice cream. Now we hear that spaghetti ice cream is a thing. Really, guys?
In case you're up for eating a sweet treat that looks just like spaghetti and marinara sauce, head on over to Dolce Gelateria in New York City. The West Village shop uses vanilla ice cream for spaghetti and strawberry sauce to mimic marinara while coconut flakes stand in for parmessan cheese.
According to Buzzfeed, it's a treat that's been around since the 1960s in Germany where it is referred to as spaghettieis. It's a common dessert that is often enjoyed in massive proportions. Who knew?
