The Guy Savoy restaurant in Paris owned by chef Guy Savoy has been named as the best restaurant in the world by La Liste - an annual list that rates the 1000 most remarkable restaurants in the world.
Joint second position on the list went to Le Bernardin in New York and Kyo Aji in Tokyo. Third place was shared between Osteria Francescana, El Celler De Can Roca, Jean Georges, Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athénée and Kyubey.
La Liste, which is part of a project by the French Foreign Ministry, is compiled using an algorithm that analyses results from over 200 different guides, from Michelin to The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list, Tripadvisor to Zagat.
