The Michelin Guide for Belgium and Luxembourg 2015 has been released with 11 new restaurants granted their first Michelin star.
The three-star restaurants in the guide, De Karmeliet in Bruges, Hof van Cleve in Kruishoutem and Hertog Jan in Zedelgem all retained their rating in the 2015 guide.
Speaking about the new guide, Michael Ellis, International Director of the the Michelin Guides, said: “After traveling through Belgium and Luxembourg, the Michelin guide inspectors found that chefs are continuing to focus on simplicity in order to offer their guests a tastier, more authentic cuisine that is deeply inspired by local and seasonal products.”
In total, the Michelin Guide for Belgium and Luxembourg 2015 features three restaurants with a three-star rating, 17 restaurants with a two-star rating and 117 restaurants with a one-star rating.
