The picture above is of a new design called the Jellyfish Barge - a clever creation that aims to offer a new way to produce food.
The Jellyfish Barge is a floating greenhouse that has been produced with communities who are vulnerable to flooding and food scarcity in mind.
The barge, designed by Antonio Girardi and Cristiana Favretto, floats and thanks to a clever filtration system can turn salty and polluted water into clean water good for plants.
On top of the clever filtration, the barge is fitted with a hydroponic watering system that massively reduces the amount of water needed to grow ingredients.
The lack of space, water and energy required to power the barge makes it a great solution for food production.
