Time have released a list of The 25 Most Influential Teens of 2014 and alongside the daughters of Presidents, teen superstars, sports stars and entrepreneurs sits 15-year-old chef Flynn Mcgarry.
We’ve already featured Flynn and his Eureka pop-up restaurant where he serves his $160-a-head tasting menu. The young chef started his culinary journey after convincing his parents to build him a professional kitchen modelled on Grant Achatz’s Alinea restaurant inside the family home.
He’s featured on the cover of The New York Times, worked at restaurants like Eleven Madison Park and says he plans to one day open the best restaurant in the world.
The other food loving youngsters to make the list were Ciara Judge, Émer Hickey and Sophie Healy-Thow from Ireland who took the Grand Prize at the Google Science Fair for their discovery of: Diazotroph, a bacteria that sucks nitrogen from the atmosphere and put it into soil, a process that can be used to speed up the germination of crops like oats.
