The fragility of life is explored with these creation from the artist Jess Landau who prints portraits onto the surface of egg shells, sometimes even on the inside of the egg.
The detailed black and white prints are applied using a liquid emulsion technique and the finished results reveal hyper realistic images.
Speaking about the project, Landau told Design Boom, “our unique experiences define who we are in life separately, as individuals. there is an overwhelming desire to be independent in our culture, while interpersonal connection and a sense of belonging is necessary for survival. this paradox is fascinating, and is the driving force behind this body of work.”
