Want some face time with Grant Achatz? Now's your chance after the chef announced he will be hosting three special evenings to mark the Chicago premiere of Spinning Plates, a new documentary that focuses on the work of three very different restaurants in America, one of them being Achatz's Alinea restaurant in Chicago.
Achatz, along with business partner Nick Kokonas, will host the premiere parties on October 25-27 at their Aviary bar with a 'meet and greet' each evening between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm.
Tickets cost $95 per-person including a reserved seat to watch the premiere at the Century Centre Cinema, specialty cocktails, punches, champagne, beer and paired hors d'oeuvres at the Aviary after the screening.
Tickets will also include the chance for people to meet with Achatz and Kokonas - Joseph Levy, the director of the documentary, will also be available on Sunday October 27th.
It promises to be a night of fun, food, conversation and drinks and if you've always wanted to meet Achatz in person, this is the perfect opportunity. Tickets can be reserved by emailing tickets@theaviary.com, indicating the date, early or late showing (1:50 PM or 7:15 PM) and the number of guests you'd like to book for - expect tickets to sell out fast.
Here's a trailer of Spinning Plates to whet your appetite and here's more details about the screenings.
