If you're desperate to try the wonderful food creations of Grant Achatz but can't get round the very busy ticketing system at his Alinea restaurant in Chicago then perhaps you can snag yourself a reservation for a very special one-off dinner the chef will be preparing in New York.
Achatz will join Alex Stupak at the Empellon Cocina restaurant as part of a series of collaborative dinners the restaurant has been hosting throughout 2013.
Taking place on November 7th 2013, the dinner is part of the restaurants Push Project IV, which has already seen Enrique Olvera, Jordon Kahn and Chris Cosentino make guest appearances at the venue on 1st Avenue.
There's no news on what Achatz will be cooking but the dinner promises to show off his usual creative culinary skills with a 12-course meal including beverage pairing at a cost of $325 per person.
Tickets will obviously sell out faster than the cronuts at Dominique Ansels bakery with the restaurant accepting bookings for parties of 2,4 and 6 guests. No odd numbered parties will be accepted.
Booking can be made through a form on the restaurant's website or by simply calling 212 367 0999 - however - reservations will only be accepted between the hours of 6:00 and 9:30 PM on the hour and every half hour.
With Achatz's last cooking appearance in New York being his amazing dinners at Eleven Madison Park we expect hundreds of people to be frantically bashing the phone and clicking mouses today as they try to reserve a table for the dinner.
