American beer lovers are thristy for the recipe being used to make beer at the White House. They are so serious about getting their hands on the presidental brew, they have begun an official recipe petition to make the recipe public.
The beer in question is the White House Honey Ale, which is produced from honey collected from the South Lawn near the First Lady's garden. Barack Obama, who is making history by being the first president to have beer brewed at the White House, has deemed the beer as ''tasty.'' The White House will release the recipe if the petition gets 25,000 signatures by September 17th, according to Obama Foodarama blog. As of today, the petition has more than half of the required signatures.
Had the recipe for the White House brew already been released, many beer aficionados may have enjoyed it this Labor Day weekend. Until the official recipe is available, here are three brews worth gettting noticed. Cheers!
