When chef Merlin Labron-Johnson made the move from London to the small town of Bruton in Somerset, few would have expected his Osip restaurant to become such a huge draw. But since Osip launched at the beginning of the pandemic, it has won a Michelin star, and a raft of plaudits from diners and critics alike. With 90 percent of its ingredients sourced from the restaurant's own farm, the menu has the immediacy and creativity that goes with cooking whatever produce is available on any given day.
Take a look at this selection of images of Merlin Labron-Johnson's garden, his Old Pharmacy bistro (next door to Osip), Osip restaurant itself and some of its delicious dishes.
