Szechuan Sauce

Ingredients
Low-sodium soy sauce: 1 1⁄2 tbsp
Honey or maple syrup or brown sugar: 2 tbsp
Cornstarch: 2 tsp (optional)
Asian chilli-garlic sauce: 1 tbsp
Rice wine vinegar: 1 tsp
Chinese cooking wine (Shaoxing) or mirin: 1 tsp
Ginger: 1 ½ tbsp (fresh, finely minced)
Garlic cloves: 2 finely minced
Red pepper: 1⁄2 tsp dry crushed
This Szechuan Sauce recipe is an irresistible blend of sweet, spicy and savoury flavours.
Method

Place all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat and warm until nearly boiling.

Whisk and simmer until well combined.
03.
After removing from heat, let it cool and serve as a dipping sauce or stir fry sauce as soon as possible.
