Restaurant blog Opinionated About Dining has released its list of the top 100+ restaurants in North America 2021, alongside its annual two lists of less formal eateries found in North America.
Despite recent allegations of a toxic working environment, chef Blaine Wetzel's Willows Inn, a restaurant with rooms on Lummi Island in Washington, tops the list for a fifth year. Writing on the restaurant's IG account, the chef said: "Thank you to each and every person on the incredible team at the Willows Inn. You bring the most positive energy and create magic every single day, you deserve this award a thousand times, thank you thank you."
Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare retains second place for a second consecutive year, and Dan Barber's Blue Hill at Stone Barns rises through the ranks to appear at number three.
Opinionated About Dining has also recently released a list of the 2021 Gourmet Casual restaurants in North America, with Middle Eastern restaurant Bavel in Los Angeles in top spot, while La Barbecue in Austin, Texas, heads up the 2021 North America Cheap Eats list. See the top ten in each category listed below.
The rankings take into consideration the opinions of thousands of registered reviewers, with greater weight given to those who visit more restaurants.
