In an Instagram post that suggested that they are currently in the process of devising the new menu, World’s Best Restaurant Eleven Madison Park has asked their followers to take their pick: which dish would they miss the most?

The winning favourite was Duck with Daikon and Plum, a signature dish of chef Daniel Humm, as chosen out of four of the restaurant’s famous dishes which included Foie Gras seared with Apple, Celery Root with Truffle, Lobster with Squash & Kale.

The New York institution posted that their honey lavender duck is the 'only dish on the menu that hasn't changed since 2006', whose story goes back to the days when Humm was working at Le Pont de Brent in Switzerland with his mentor Gérard Rabaey. The team posted a special behind the scenes look at the making of this popular duck dish which shows the chefs in the kitchen prepping, marinating, and cooking the special duck so loved by everyone.

Dare to try it at home? The restaurant published their limited edition cookbook, Eleven Madison Park: the Next Chapter in 2017 which reveals some of the secrets to their dishes. Take a look inside here

And for more Eleven Madison Park action, we recommend you check out the episode dedicated to the restaurant on Netflix's series Seven Days Out, which shows you the level of genius (and madness) that goes on in opening one of the best restaurants in the world. Read our review here
