If you’re looking make an impression this Valentine’s Day, then this dish from Rasmus Munk’s Alchemist in Copenhagen could be just the thing to make your date ‘unforgettable'.

Munk is a master of shock and his restaurant Alchemist is currently one of hardest reservations to get anywhere in the world, but the ‘Tongue Kiss’, part of the tasting menu costing $370 plus a minimum $222 wine pairing and made up of 50 ‘impressions’ (dishes) was tweeted by the Michelin Guide UK causing quite a stir in the food media Twittersphere.

The tongue seems like a popsicle, sprinkled with various flora, however, as far as we can tell the tongue part of this dish is not edible.

So many questions…

What is it made of? Food vlogger Mark Wiens described the dish last year saying that it consisted of a huge silicone tongue with a beetroot and a “tongue texture on the bottom.”

How do you eat it? We assume the dish is supposed to be licked off the tongue, thus inspiring some kind of tongue hockey, which may or may not make an impression on your date, depending on whether you met them on Tinder or the Dark Web.
