Runaway success chef drama series, The Bear, will return for a second season FX Entertainment has revealed.
Just one month after it debuted its first season on Hulu, the show starring Jeremy Allen White as Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto has garnered a huge fan following and glowing reviews for its realistic take on kitchen life.
“The Bear has exceeded our wildest creative, critical and commercial expectations,” said FX Entertainment president Eric Schrier in a statement announcing the second season.
“We deeply appreciate the brilliant work led by creator and co-showrunner Christopher Storer and co-showrunner Joanna Calo. Jeremy Allen White’s lead performance is spectacular, as are those of his co-stars Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce and Liza Colón-Zayas. We can’t wait to get to work on season two.”
Eight-part season one follows chef Carmy as he returns home to save his family’s struggling Chicago sandwich shop. What will happen in season two and when it will land are yet to be revealed, but expectations are that it will be heading our way sometime in 2023. Watch this space.
