When it was announced that the highest climber at this year's World's 50 Best Restaurants had jumped a huge 37 places to number 18 on the list, no one was really surprised when the name of the restaurant was read out.
Disfrutar in Barcelona has been a foodies' favourite since it opened in 2015. Unsurprising, since the trio of chefs behind it – Eduard Xatruch, Mateu Casañas and Oriol Castro – were the Adriàs' right hand men at elBulli for many years.
Not that the restaurant is an extension of elBulli: the chefs have taken all their knowedge and experience to create a style of their own combining technique, whimsicalness and above all, taste.
The restaurant, which this year won it's second Michelin star, is also admired for its relaxed style of service and buzzy dining room, as you can see in this video from ElitLife, which tantalisingly runs throught the entire, ever changing 32-course tasting menu.
Enjoy a taste of one of the world's best restaurants below.
