Michelin Guide Beijing 2022: See all the Stars

Five new restaurants enter the new Michelin Guide Beijing 2022, including one new two-star and four new one-star restaurants, taking the capital city of the People’s Republic of China's total to 34 Michelin-starred restaurants.

Announcing the new guide, Gwendal Poullennec, international director of the Michelin Guides said: “Beijing has demonstrated its charm and its potential as a great gourmet destination.The inspection team remains very positive about the selection of Beijing and very much looking forward to seeing new faces and evolution in the industry.”

This year, elegant seafood restaurant Chao Shang Chao makes its Michelin-star debut, winning two Michelin stars with head chef Zhang at the helm, joining restaurants Jingji and Shanghai Cuisine in the two-star category.

Hunanese restaurant Furong, minimalist Ling Long, creative Lu Style (Anding Road) and Italian restaurant Opera Bombana from the famed Italian chef Umberto Bombana of 8 1/2 Otto e Mezzo in Hong Kong fame, also spring straight into this year's guide with one star. The historical city now boasts a total of 29 restaurants with one Michelin star.

King’s Joy and Xin Rong Ji retain their three Michelin star status in this year's guide, and vegetarian restaurant King's Joy also retains its green Michelin star for sustainable practices.
