Nasa are working on a green house in space, Dominos joked about opening a store on the moon and Pizza Hut sent a pizza to the international space station.

Now Zog's Dogs, a hot dog shop in San Francisco, has built and fired a hot dog carrying rocket into space.

The vessel was equipped with GPS and a camera to record what was a small step for man yet a giant leap for hot dogs all over the world.

The montage below showing the stunt is a little odd but you do get to see a man take his first bite of a space dog.
