American artist Alan Wolfson creates miniature sculptures that reproduce extremely detailed urban landscapes of New York.

A Brooklyn native, Wolfson's detailed miniature dioramas of grimy New York scenes are so realistic that you could feel a sort of loneliness: from an old-style luncheonette to your favourite Italian pizza shop or diner, his creations are a gallery of the city's most famous corners.

Wolfson often works on a piece for months at a time, obsessing over the details, many of which are a combination of memory and fantasy.
