Cupcakes are no longer just for eating, they are for creating food art too. The remarkable cherry blossom mosaic pictured here was made with - hold on to your seasts - over 10,000 cupcakes!
This enormous mosaic was created for a Japanese television program ITTEQ by Crumbs and Doilies, a premier cupcake shop in London. This incredible cupcake food art was recently displayed at the Highcross Shopping Centre at Leicester.
It took over 833 dozen cupcakes to make this edible mosaic. Crumbs and Doilies sell their big cupcakes at £24 pounds a dozen, which means the value of this cupcake mosaic is an estimated £20,000. Who knew cupcakes could be an expensive work of art?
