The mammoth Melbourne Food and Wine Festival is now underway. Started in 1993 the festival is celebrating its 20th birthday with a jam packed event that showcases some of the best food, wine and producers throughout Australia and beyond.
There's over 200 events packed into the festival a startling figure when you see that the very first event began with just 12 events.
Chef dinners, master classes and a theatre of ideas will run throughout the fetival offering curious food lovers the chance to learn and sample foods and dishes from some of the most exciting chefs in the world.
Acqua Panna will host their very own global wine experience, a chance to sample a range of 12 wines - from classics to more exotic grapes and beyond - all accompanied by talks from some of the industry's most interesting wine speakers.
Cheese and wine tasting sessions, a gyoza, beer and sake party and a tribute to the Italian opera singer Pavarotti - sponsored by San Pellegrino - are just a handful of the exciting events on offer.
From the March 9th an array of food markets will take place, from the Braybrook Garden to a market taking place in the historic Railway station of Wodonga.
